"I have a 1975 Sea Ray SRV 190 with a Mercruiser 260. I am trying to fix it up but I need to know which drive I have to get parts. If anyone can help that would be great. Here are some pics.

"The model 888 on the drive in

"The model 888 on the drive indicates it originally was powered by a 302 Ford V-8. It looks like someone repowered the boat with a 260 hp GM 350 when the Ford died.

The 888 was made from 1972 thru 1976, so the drive is likely original. The model number decodes as 8 cylinder, 188 hp.

The drive is definitely pre-Alpha. Its a model 1 which was offered thru 1981. Sometimes referred to as an "R" drive. Its a good solid old drive and can certainly handle the 260 regardless of its original 188 hp designation.
