Motor is a 2005 Honda BF225. Got everything hooked up. Motor fires up, runs great. Everything seems to be working as it should EXCEPT the digital gauges. I have the digital tach and digital speedo. The very first time I turn the key on the gauges turned on. But then after I wired up the power wire for the lights to each gauge I popped a fuse on the engine side (10 amp). This killed power tilt at the helm and key switch. I swapped in a new fuse and everything was working properly again.
Back to the gauges, they were the only part not working. So I popped open the 7.5 amp Accessory fuse on the harness up by the gauges and it was BLOWN. Swapped out with another 7.5 amp fuse and it immediately was popped after one attempt. Obviously something must not be correct.
At this point. Everything works except the digital gauges. The backlights for both gauges do turn on, but nothing reading from the gauge at all.
Ive looked through the manual, and I'm fairly certain I put everything where it needs to be.
There is ONE plug that is not plugged into anything...maybe this was for some other add on? But I couldnt see that being my problem? Any thoughts?
