I need to pull off the cylinder block cover of an older motor. I can not make the screws budge, and I dont want to snap the heads. How do you reccomend removing them. I've tried using liquid wrench and WD-40.

Heat the bolts well with propane torch and an air gun on it's lowest setting and let it hammer away. You may still break some.

On the older motors it is a nut and a bolt.-------No problem if the break at all.------To overhaul the motor you need to take the powerhead off anyway and then you can drill the nuts to get rid of them.

If you want to take the powerhead apart you need to pull it off the exhaust housing.------The water cover is not a cylinder head and removing it does not allow you to inspect the cylinders !!

Sorry , but the sparkplugs screw into a dome that is part of the block.------The cover forms a water jacket for cooling.------The sparkplugs do NOT screw into a panel.------I suggest you close up your tool box , get a manual and do some study.------Expensive mistakes are easy to make !
