"Jason,

What year do you think it is? Willard asked above about the model number, have you found it?

The Seloc Online manual should cover it. I should be able to find it for you if you can get the model number or model year."

"In the mid-eighties OMC marke

"In the mid-eighties OMC marketed "juiced" versions of the V/6 motor. Done after the fact by one of their associate commpanies (Flagship maybe)they added rigid mounts, a lightweight flywheel, nose cones, Boysen reeds and a couple other extras to increase HP. I'm sorry, but far too much water has passed under this bridge for me to remember the exact details. I do remember, as a dealer, buying several of these motors for my high performance O/B customers. They came with a 90 day warranty and were not in the brochure. I doubt you'll find them in any of OMCs official archives, but they did exist.

This may be the motor you have. It was based on the 2.6 XP/GT engine and was called a 250.

If what you have is a cross charged v/6 with 250 emblems, this is indeed what you have.

Someone out there who has owned one would have a better recollection than me, but that's what I recall. I'll repost again after my nap if I come up with more.

(only kidding... I don't nap until 2)

Rick"

"A favourite story comes from

"A favourite story comes from one of two fellows that walked into my shop 20 plus years ago. He said "it looked like an atomic bomb went of with boxes of parts everywhere, yet you looked in one box and found the part we needed". Today it sometimes takes me an hour or more to find stuff. And I am only 56 yrs young."
