help please 1986 3.0 L

[glen 1959]

have 3.0 in 1986 sylvan deck boat. have water leaking from behind the manifold. could it be the gasket or mybe a freeze plug ? i think it is a gmc motor .just bought the boat model # on engine is 302amkow serial# t0892408 do not know much.any information anyone could give me would be great. by the way motor runs great an no oil in crank case. would like to know what the plugs gap at , an points. like i said any info would help thanks all an god bless

Do you really mean no water in the oil ?

Yes there is a CASTING PLUG behind the manifold.

I can say hit the bolts with pb blaster let sit and hit them again. Let sit hit them again.

Loosen the clamps below the elbow and then you can attempt to take the bolts off and take the manifold with the elbow and carb all in one piece off.

Take the cable off the carb and remove anything that will stop the mani from moving.

If its leaking behind the manifold, get a mirror and look for a crack in the top of the block just below the cylinder head.
