"I was at the CO River in AZ last weekend and my 26' pontoon with a 50HP Johnson, although quite under powered, was running good until the 2nd day when it felt like it was running on one cylinder. Just cruising down the river when it dropped down to about 2500 rpm's and ran real bad. I put it in neutral and tried to rev it and it would climb to 2500 and spit and sputter. I pulled it to the shore killed it and pulled the cover off, checked the plug wires and was going pull the plugs. I squeezed the primer bulb, I started it and it revved up just fine. I had no more problems until the 3rd day when the same thing happened. I once again queezed the bulb but that wasn't the problem, it still ran bad. I floated for a while, fired it up and it ran fine.
Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated."
