"This winter I replaced the impellar only in my 1988 Honda 10 hp that I use for trolling . It has always pumped water fine ,but I changed it for piece of mind. Launched the boat last weekend and when I started the 10 hp it didn't pump water. When I got home I switched the rotation of the impellar thinking that I somehow put it in wrong. Into the barrel and still no pumping of water. Running it gently I do get exhaust smoke out of the water hose but no water. Any suggestions? Water intake screen appears to not be plugged.
