Help needed on 496 mercruiser

I have a 2005 496 mercruiser with a I/O engine has ran perfect since new I had a few surgeries and have not had the boat out for three years I know I need to do a few things before starting the engine change fuel oil coolant spark plugs impeller should I put oil in the cylinder walls before starting I want to do everything right before starting the engine back up can anyone help me out with this information how to do this also should I turn engine over by hand before starting engine up and witch way do you turn it thanks for your help

Put in some fresh fuel and fire it up. That is all. Service it after you run it.

Witch way does the engine turn over and why not service everything first so if the impeller goes bad it does not go through the cooling system

Unless you ran the engine dry the pump will be fine for the run up.
