Help me identify the year of my Johnson 25 and decoding the model number

I need help identifying the year of my Johnson Outboard its a 25hp 2 stroke i also need help decoding the model number as i want to know What options the engine has. model number is BJ25RSR

Impossible it’s a 2004 model looks like a late 70s early 80s engine look at this photo it’s the engine painted gold on the engine cover, is it possible the plaque got transferred from a 2004 engine?

From seeing it, you are right. I was going straight off this chart from 2005 BRP guide.
Maybe a Frankenstein unit?
Double check the "SR". Maybe it reads ER?

Simple for me !-----The cowling clearly indicates it is a " commercial " model.----So you find the commercial lost.---Sorry , I meant list.
 
There really is NO DIFFERENCE between the commercial motors and regular motors !!----Except possibly for the lower unit on your motor.----Post a picture of your lower unit and prop for further input.-----Or a good dealer ( if you have one ) can find the parts lists for commercial models.li

Yeah i Will take a picture and post it when i am Home, it looks like the 70s 25 lower units or 80s lower units as it doesnt have the ability for engine flushing muffs it just has the regular water input. And it also has a 3 blade prop which if im not wrong only came on the old style lower units right?
 
Wrong----Most Johnson / Evinrude motors use a 3 blade prop.-------Posting a picture only helps you get the information you seek.
