Help me figure out the problem... please

I am new here. Thank you for letting me be a part of this group.
I Will try to explain the issue as best I can I don't know much about boats so bear with me.
We have a 1979 Evinrude outboard 115hp.
It was running perfect this weekend, then suddenly it made a noise and now it's not running right. It's kind of like when you try to drive a car when it's in neutral. It revs a little but doesn't wanna go. (Goes very slow now)
And it's now shooting water out the middle section of the outboard. Never did that before.
sorry if I explained the issue, really bad. It's the only way I know how to explain.
any help would be greatly appreciated. Please and thank you in advance!!
 
What is coming across to us pertaining to the problem is..... "it's not running right"... and you're going to have to stop, think, and explain in detail exactly how that engine is acting.
 
The prop wont go anymore. It only goes on low speed. No longer accelerates. High RPM, runs like it's in neutral. And water is now shooting out from the middle of the motor.

On a wild guess that you're saying that the engine revs up normally but the propeller isn't responding (spun hub)... try a different propeller,
