Hi I have an '84 E150ancrs that I am sure needs a new clutch dog.bought a Seloc manual however when I pull cover off I cannot find top of shifter rod which I need to disconnect to drop lower unit any help would be awesome. Thanks Gents

Look under the bottom carburetor.----Have an assistant move the control lever and you will see parts moving and the pin to take out.

Racerone, Thanks for the fast response, one question does it matter which direction my wife will move shifter or is it just the action of engaging will show me where the pin sits. Thanks again Have a great safe season on the water. Tim67. [email protected]

Ok not sure what you mean by Up position (forward )? ,or neutral? Sorry but if you could clarify I am far from a mechanic but have never been one not to at least try to repair my own equipment . And this is my baby not about.to let just anyone mess with her. Thanks in advance for helping clear this up.

Actually the engine needs to be put in reverse (shift rod down). That will give you the most clearance. Long extension (1/4") with 3/8" wobble socket is best.
