I have a 2008 Mercury 40 hp 3cly efi 4 stroke . that #1 cly is just not operating right and the spark plug is wet with fuel .I got spark and fuel to that cylinder and Cylinders 2 and 3 are running just fine . As anyone had this issue . Engine will start and idle but in water will bog down and has little power . Also found if you disconnect 1 coil the engine when running will run same same like 1 isn’t doing anything but won’t start with that disconnected. Checked compression on all cylinders and is good did leak down test and that was good . . Everything keeps pointing back to cylinder 1 # 1 cylinder has good spark but is always wet with unburnt fuel …Any input ???
