"I just took my Evinrude out today and ran into a huge problem...
While out on the water I went to increase my throttle, the boat started to go on plane and then gradually lost power. The gradual loss of power leads me to believe that it is a fuel issue not electrical. I had the carburetors rebuilt for the season, so they shouldn't be giving me a problem. The boat idles fine and has plenty of power out of water (obviously because of no load on the prop). Could it be a fuel pump? High speed adjustment? The engine has 95 PSI accross all cylinders (which isn't horrible considering the year). Any Ideas would help!

Thanks,
Doug"

"Does the primer ball collapse? Does pumping it when the engine is acting up help? Easiest way to eliminate a fuel line, fitting, or tank issue is to take a new 6 gallon tank and line assembly with you and see how it runs on that."

"I meant to put that in my ori

"I meant to put that in my original post... I used a portable 6 gallon tank with fresh fuel, so that should eliminate any fuel line/bulb issue, but thatnks for your ideas."
