"Anyone interested in my ongoi
"Anyone interested in my ongoing saga of the yoke / fork and helmet alignment will have to wait a little longer cos ive been delayed in resolving the problem due to a sheared off bolts between the manifold and the engine head which are now being spark eroded before i can continue to resolve the problem of alignment.
In my two week maintainence period iv removed the manifolds and carbs on both engines with the old exhaust elbows attached then had them seperated and replaced them with new elbows and gaskets ect. One engine is now back together although i have this noisy rattle (see other post) and the second engine is waiting for the engine head which is having a good dose of spark erotion to get a sheared bolt out. All things being equal (that,ll be the day) I should be in a position to put the second engine back together early next week. Obviously im fitting a new head gasket aswell. Its been a challanging two week period having had little or no engineering experience but i have learnt a hell of a lot. Best bit of advice ive been given in the last six months is "if it needs doing, do it yourself" they were right i think i can at least understand and take a view on some of the engine issues now."
