I have a 1981 75 hp Chrysler motor on my boat now and the gearbox has completely gone out. I also have a 1985 35 hp mercury motor that I want to put on the boat, only it does not have a control box, just the wires coming out of the motor. Question. Can I use the controls from the Chrysler for the mercury?
