heat sensor on mariner 90hp

M son has a 90hp 6 cyl Mariner. looking to find over heat sensor and buzzer. There is a plug in the head between 4th & 5 cyl. Is that where the sensor was supposed to go?

The sensor for the factory alarm went in a hole near the #1 plug. The other plug has water pressure on it. I would not bother putting a heat gauge there. It does not really work. I only used the water pressure gauges back then.
