Heat Exchanger replacement

Replacing my heat exchanger in my 2013, 6.0 Crusader engine. Is there any info available on draining the system? Also are there any tips or instructions on the installation of a new heat exchanger? Looks strait forward but any advice would help. Thanks

Just looked and it appears the old crusader web site is no longer....they had the ops manuals that showed the drain plug locations posted there but thats OBE as of now...

I'd be inclined to flush out the block just because of the age - if the coolant is ok, probably don't need to do that.

As far as the replacement goes, once the coolant is drained from the existing heat exchanger, the supply hose to the circulating pump will still have to be dealt with...and how will be driven by what you can access...sometimes you are better off draining it and sometimes you can secure it to the engine...

A final thought - take some pictures before you start - mounting bolts and hose routing are the big things to capture...
