My heat exchanger cap is very

My heat exchanger cap is very rusty I can't see any markings on how many lbs it is. I have a 280hp Crusader 409 chevy BB. How can I tell what the replacement cap should be. The engine is 1/2 fresh water cooled.

"you can test it with a radiator pressure tester and see the pressure when the spring gives. if you don't have one, take it to a radiator shop that does.

if marked, they are usually stamped on top of the ear - may need to wire brush it. size is most likely a standard "a" sized cap."
