Head gasket leak

Took out the boat a few days ago. Took out the new spark plugs to see if they are still being fouled ( old owner had wrong spark plugs in). No fouling but when I took out the bottom spark plug on each side, water came out. Was not much but pretty sure it was water. Bubbly clear fast moving. After then little bit of water came out then oil came out. Not lots. What would cause water too be in the cylinder? I’m hoping it’s just a head gasket leak in which the water from the water jacket is leaking into the cylinder... both bottom cylinders had water (two second glug glug worth)
those who have been following along know some of what I have done so far (not much hahahha). Original problem was sputter at low idle and then fuel everywhere upon launching (after a few days of use). I cleaned the carbs (found rubber in the float pin seat and more in the low speeed orifice). Replaced the fuel lines leading up too the carbs ( old ). Replaced spark plugs ( wrong ones were in it). Put everything back together (and apart and back together X5). No more leaks! But still has a slight bog/caugh at low idle. Noticed the engine would get pretty hot too the touch so I assume the thermostat is messed up. Will be changing it soon. And then the water coming from plug holes. I think I should shift my focus too this problem as water in cylinders is a bad thing! What should I do to troubleshoot the cause? Do you think the engine block cracked?? How do I check this without taking it all apart? Is it likely just a head gasket?!?
Its a 78 115hp Evinrude.
Thanks everyone!

Most likely cause is head gaskets or exhaust cover gaskets. Especially if it has been overheated. However, you say it is a glug-glug leak. That is a SERIOUS leak. Almost impossible on a running motor. Is it possible it is happening while on muffs or something? In any case, it must be dealt with immediately because that water will destroy the powerhead internals----same as if it was sunk.

this is kinda where the problem is. I don’t know if it’s overheated or how many times it has overheated. The buzzer didn’t go off... it was a glug glug. Two times and that was it. Total maybe a quarter of a visine bottle. Serious to have water in the cylinder yes.
I ran the boat in the lake for an hour or so then took it off and 5 minutes later I took out the plugs and noticed the water (what I think is water, clear fast moving) how long does it take for it rocks start destroying inside? It’s been 2 days since I noticed it...

You are living on borrowed time. The water starts working the highly polished bearings almost immediately. You may get lucky, but a day is considered to be the limit before bad things start to happen. Obviously, fresh water is better than salt, so that is in your favor.

If you had water or fuel pouring out the spark plug hole the engine would not turn over period. I have to call BS on this thread it is physically impossible for the engine to run unless you already bent the connecting rods and its running on two cylinders.

So what are you calling BS on? The fact I seen what I think was water glug glug (not pour pour hahaha). And fuel does come out of the spark plug hole when the cylinder is flooded. One or two can be flooded And the other two will still turn it over and have it run. Have you not seen the YouTube videos with people pulling the spark plug and then seein water shoot out in streams? Those motors are running hahaha. So yea, why is this thread BS again?
Checked them today after the water pump replacement and nothin comes out. The veins of the plug houseimgs are wet and so are the plugs but no glug glug anymore.
I’m still thinking head gasket as the water is still present.... will look into it more on the weekend.
