Having problems with the ignition on a johnson 55HP motor

"hope some one can answer this, This motor was starting fine, Then the starter went out so i just re-placed it. Now, after i get it started, it won't shut off. Is this problem the key switch? or something else i should look at?"

"have u been messing w/the key switch,if so u have mis located a blk,..or a blk/yellow wire.use an ohmmeter,to ck continuity,on the blk/yellow wire at pack....disc fr pack,hook one ohm lead to blk yell wire,other lead to block,w/key OFF ,u should have cont...w/key ON,IT SHOULD BE OPEN."
