I have an 8 cylinder VP engine with a Holley 4 barrel. The carb has an electric choke and I having a hard time with it.
THe engine starts and runs fine at idle. When I engage at low speed it is fine, but when I increase the gas, the choke is not opening and the engine nearly stalls.
Should the electric choke be "adjusting" itself through the acceleration process? When I remove the wire from the choke and adjust it manually by changing the "openness" of the butterfly I am able to get the engine to perform nicely.
Does this sound like a bad adjustment or a bad choke.
