"I have problems stating my mo

"I have problems stating my motor (te70tlce). I recently rebuilt the carbs, and cleaned them real well, soaked in Chem-Dip for 4 days, then in gasoline for a day, use small wires to get in all the small holes,a blew them out with air. It seemed to help my idle out, but i'm having a hard time trying to start it,but if i take the cover off to the motor and hold the throttle cam follower all the way open it will start. it runs wide open just fine, but also has a hard time idling in gear, runs rougher than when it is idling. Compression 120psi in all 3 cylinders, good blue spark. Thanks"

"i would ck the primer circuit

"i would ck the primer circuit,..primer,hoses etc,..and adj linkage and synchronization of carbs, and ign...and that u r using the correct, starting proceedures."

"I have the manual for the mot

"I have the manual for the motor, can you do a link & sync without having to set the timing pointer. I don't have a OMC piston stop."

"yes u can,...linkage & sy

"yes u can,...linkage & synchronization,...is adj between car to carb, and carb to ignition advance...u need the piston stop tool,to find TDC so u could accurately set pick-up timing, and mainly for HS timing."

"no...not the omc/brp one..if

"no...not the omc/brp one..if u have access to a screw in,dial indicator,that wks well too.."

"when i do the link & sync

"when i do the link & sync, will the boat have to be in the water,or can it be done using muffs or a barrel?"

"To me this sounds like perhap

"To me this sounds like perhaps your primer solenoid might be 'leaking' and over-priming the engine.
Start/crank the engine with the primer hoses off the cabs or solenoid. If fuel is leaking out, change the gasket on top of the primer solenoid."

"I already have, the old one h

"I already have, the old one had a crack on the top of it,by one of the screw holes."

Dis you test for 'leakage&

Dis you test for 'leakage' afterwords as mentioned above?
Did you replace needle valves and seats and adjust float level in the carbs?
It looks like your engine is 'flooding' at low rpm and start.

"haven't tested for leaks

"haven't tested for leaks yet, but yes i replaced the needle valves and seats, and adjusted the float level & float drop. so to test for leaks, do i pull the hoses off the solenoid and run the motor."

"One more thing.
When engine

"One more thing.
When engine is lowered to start, what is the situation of the exhaust relief holes at the leg.
They must be ABOVE water.
If submerged, back-pressure gets too big.
try to trim up the engine slightly."
