The battery is brand new and has 12.20 v with no load on it. When i try to start the motor it sounds like it is hard to turn over and then it turns faster and will start. The best way I know how to explain it is like a car that has the timing to far advanced. I know the starter is the original starter, could the starter be causing problem. The battery is charging when the engine is running, it will go up to about 13v or so at cruising speeds.
