"When the engine has been tilt

"When the engine has been tilted awhile, after being run, it is hard starting, it sometimes takes 4 or 5 cranks, before it starts, and then sometimes after start it will stall. And then have to repeat this procedure until finally staying running. The primer ball does not always stay hard (even though some manauls says it should). Could this be the problem (primerball) or is it within the carbs. Would I be wrong in rebuilding carbs and fuel pump. Any ideas, I would appreciate any input??????"

"Dennis, it could be a bad primer bulb (losing pressure) if not running (it will get soft somewhat when the motor is running) or could be a stuck float as well.

If your compression and spark are good - which will rule out other issues including the ignition system, then check your fuel system.

Check your tank (pick-up screen), fuel lines, connections, filters etc for blockages, breaks whatever.

Then with the hood off and the motor in it's normal position, pump the bulb. If your carb(s) start puking out gas, it's time for a clean and possibly a rebuild."
