when I go to start my motor wi

when I go to start my motor will start run a few seconds and die. I can usually keep it running by pulling up on idle throttle till it warms up. If I try to go ahead and engage drive it will die. Does any one have an idea how to get this motor to start easier. thanks chris

anyone have any ideas? the guy I bought the boat from last year had it in the shop for carbs. being clogged could the shop had misadjusted something?Also after the initial start up it does fine while boating. thanks chris

"as long as spark and compression are ok,...i would say some linkage and synchronization adj would poss help....i suggest a factory service manual .a low speed idle increase,may be all that is needed.When u start it,..press and release the choke a few times till warm."

My choke is on the key would you push the choke while the motor is warming up idleing or would this choke out the motor? thanks I will try
