Hard shifting aq131a w 275 outdrive

there is a hard knock when the

there is a hard knock when the the drive is put into gear.. but after that there is no problem... the knock is coming from the oudrive not the engine itself . there are no problems at cruising speed or slow no wake speeds.. any thoughts ?? I have never done any type of outdrive work.. all thoughts welcome thanks
 
ther rpms are in the 900 to 10

ther rpms are in the 900 to 1000 range as per seloc.. I have managed to stay at around 950. As far as gaer oil I am using 10w30. Is this correct or should I be using something different. thanks

"All seems correct. Did the knock just start, or has it been there for awhile? Maybe it is coming from the bellhousing bearing or u-joints instead of from the outdrive?"

I seems to coming from withing the drive bellows when it is put into gear. I can say this because when the engine is on and idleing its fine. but when it is shifted into gear theres a hard knock and the drive is shifted hard into drive.. problem seems to have just started
