Grounded out when hooking up battery

Can someone steer me in the right direction...
so on Saturday I went to start up my 1981 Bayliner Mutiny 1750 with an AQ145A. I started connecting the battery but then I accidentally grounded out the battery when connecting it. Now there's no power to anything. Not even the horn which doesn't need the key to be on. I changed the relay by the starter but still nothing. Can someone help me out please!?!

Just changing parts because they are in the area of the problem is usually a frustrating and expensive way to go about fixing a problem. Your engine, per code, must have a master circuit breaker or fuse in the main circuit. The circuit breaker is usually mounted near the starter and has a red button on it that you can push to reset... That said, and before you go try that, EXACTLY HOW did you "ground out the battery"... Described what happened when you did this... (besides sparks). How long was the battery "grounded".

I actually was able to reset that breaker after taking a few days to ease my frustration. I did initially try to reset it but it wouldn't. Then yesterday I tried it once more and it clicked and I was good to go. Thank you for your response.

Breaker uses "thermal" technology ( vs magnetic) and as a result needs a few mins to cool off before it can be reset.
