Guys i have green goo dripping

Guys i have green goo dripping from the water intake on my '58 fastwin. Is this normal? It drips out a few hours after I use the motor. But it doesnt drip out everytime.

"Yep, kinda normal - you should notice it more if you have been running the motor quite a bit.

All kinds of "cooties" stick to the inside of the leg - crud from the water, burnt/unburnt oil and gas etc.

Mostly it simply exits while the motor is in the water and you don't see it, but when you pull it out, particularly if the leg is still warm, all that gunk slowly slides down the leg and gets out where ever it can.

If your motor was a little newer it would goop out from the center of the prop - which fools alot into thinking the lower unit is leaking fluid.

If you spary some "Powertune" through the carb (or any other spray cleaner) the goo will kinda look like chocolate milkshake
