greasing the sterndrive

it would be great if somebody designed a single point greaseing system for a leg,as mine is in a marina pen for most of the year i usually jump in the water and find the nipples by hand to grease on a monthly basis.

Ayuh,.... Dependin' on the vintage of yer drive, they're gettin' damn near ungreaseable,....

The Most greaseable Alpha was 'bout '84,....
Now a days, there's only a fittin',.... or two,.... :rolleyes:

If the gimbal bearing is grease serviceable, lube it with the engine running at idle. (dynamic -vs- static)
This will ensure a more complete exchange of new for old grease at the actual bearing surfaces.

New factory Gimbal bearings are sealed and not serviceable.

there are 5 nipples on this 1984 vintage,have had the 2 tilt pins [where the 2 sender units fit]seize once so i like to keep them well greased
