Grease Zert will not take grease

Can’t get grease in outdrive raise and lower axis zert. Grease gun locks up. Replaced zert, still locks up. Is there a way to clean out old grease? Can I spray WD40 in it or something else?

Thanks,
Brad

If you are referring to the pivot pins, try some heat unless you have a few weeks to allow soaking time...

if you have the proper tools, you can pull one and see what the impediment really is...

No I have do nothing wanted advice first.

Ayuh,... Pull the fittin', 'n put it in the greasegun to see if it passes grease,...

Probe the hole, with the fittin' Out, 'n see if you can clear it,...

If that all fails, Pull the pins, 'n see Why,...

"I have done all the poking, prodding and spraying that can be done. Tell me more about taking the pins out. The port side takes grease just fine."

Brad, You might try loading a good grease gun with some penetrating oil and forcing it in the zerk. Have used this on OB steering tubes in the past to free up hard steering.

Have never done this to my boat. my bad. the od will trim up and down fine. i don't notice any problem. before i go out how can i be sure there is no damage?
