GPH with a 99 yam 4 stroke anybody know

"use a 9.9 high thrust outboar

"use a 9.9 high thrust outboard as a kicker for trolling, boat is a 23 cc parker, weight about 4300 lbs. or so loaded.

i troll between 2.0 and 3.3 mph. the flo-scan will not register because the the flow rate is to nominal.

got any educated guess what the gph would be??"

"Will guess here for you. Trol

"Will guess here for you. Trolling speed might be around the 2500-3000 rpm mark on the motor.

Wide open she would burn about 1 gph, so at that speed maybe .5 to .6 gph (about 4-5 mpg)

Would get it's best gas mileage at about 3800-4200 rpms burning .4 to .5 gph

My numbers are "rule of thumb" based on personal testing of 8, 9.9, 15 and 20 horse motors on the same hull and do not represent scientific tests.

If you could measure with the meter you would find a bell curve pattern. It burns more gas at both the high and low rpms with it's best mpg rating at approx 2/3's throttle."
