Gland nut wrench for power trim

What is and where is the place to find the correct gland nut wrench to replace the seal on a Volvo penta dpe stern drive???

Is very tight and the tool from HF bent so it looks like I'm in need of a hd wrench that doesn't cost an arm and leg.

I assumed that is what you were talking about it is called a spanner wrench. Sometimes if you look close at the last thead on the cylinder you can see if it is right or left thread? Heat may help you may as well change the rings on the piston while you have it apart? I could not find a parts breakdown my guess is the cap also has a o ring.
 
In the thread from 2011 (that also posted in), you mention DP E 290.
I know of no such drive model!

Perhaps try posting some good pictures of this drive.

Trying to add a picture but is not working, i bought the boat recently and as I understand I have 290 dpe's. The wrench I'm referring to is as spanner.

I'm going to keep trying to attach a picture and find out more about the stern drives I have.

My bad, the outdrives I have are DP-D1, I just confirmed it by looking at the tag. I found a spanner wrench that fit from a grinder but the handle bent, I'm bing to try to weld the whole handle with a thick piece of iron and see what happens but in all honesty I didn't have to put much force, will see what happens when I reinforce the wrench. If that doesn't work what would be the best was to approach it, also, where can I get replacement seal kits for those rams

While using the spanner wrench I assume, if the spanner wrench doesn't work what can I use, if caps get damage can I find replacements?

To mee, it looks like I will need a hd wrench as this boat it's a 1997 carolina classic that was kept in salt water, I removed the bottom paint were the cap threads to the cyclinder and been adding pentetrating oil for weeks, I'm sure it most be very tight and that is why I'm thinking on getting a good tool but I don't have any idea of the correct pin and spacing size.

Also, just to make sure, to undo it it's suppose to be counter clockwise right?
