Gimbal housing

I have a alpha 1 gen 1 I am c

I have a alpha 1 gen 1 I am changing it as it is leaking. I removed all the bolts I can see ( 6 ) and the exhoust but it is still mounted solid does anyone know how many bolts hold it on am I missing some? Or any other ideas would be apprecated

"SHIFT INTO FOWARD,remove the trim cylinders, remove the 6 mounting nuts, and hopefully just pull it off.

Thanks I'm not talking about the outdrive. I'm talking about the whole gimbal assembly.

The bottom 2 were through bolts on mine, and had locking nuts on the inside, I broke one of the studs, not bad for 35 years old."
 
I have 3 TRS's [ project b

I have 3 TRS's [ project boat? ]. My three transom gimbles all have non S/S studs. Why don't they use stainless steel on new installations? Hence fewer problems! I was told that S/S can not hold tension! Is that correct?
 
Depending on what was used for

Depending on what was used for a sealer on the gimble housing you are going to have to go around all the edges with a thin putty knife or something of that sort to break the seal to the transom.
