i just removed gimbal bearing

i just removed gimbal bearing it looks like bering was forced in . what tools do i need to reinstall new bearing or can i use a hammer and wood to tap in place. any suggestions would help thanks john

That is more or less how it is

That is more or less how it is assembled. Just be careful to line up the grease hole in the bearing with the channel in the housing. Then be sure You only put force on the outer ring and not the inner part of the bearing. There is a 'special' tool that takes care of that. A machined plate that fits onto the handle part of the alignment tool.
