Gets me out but not back

1999 Ev 150 carborated motor. Had motor to 3 mechanics, had carborators overhauled, replaced line from tank to motor, had motor checked out 2 times, replaced fuel pump, and plugs still have same problem. Get to ramp, boat starts runs a little rough but ok, put power to it and it runs like a rocket ship, run about 5 miles with no issues, come off throtle, engine goes to idle then stalls. Thats it! Motor will no longer run! Start motor, idle goes to about 3500 for 30 to 45 seconds by itself, then idles down to 1000 or so, then stalls. Sometimes it will let me put it into gear before it stalls. Very rarely I can start it, put it into gear and full throtle and it will jump up and go for about 30 seconds (sounds like it is hitting on half the cylinders) then die. Same thing every time, start, then very high idle, then it idles down (all by itself) put it in gear and stall. I have about $1,700.00 into mechanics and parts. Thought the new fuel pump would be the answer but NOT. Has anyone experienced this? If so what was the fix? Motor does not have auto oil injection. Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.
