boat takes-off in second gear, and will not
pick up rpm's???? it revs great in neutral.
its a gm 4.3l w/ omc out drive

do a compression check, check advance weights in distributor, check fuel supply and filters, check firing order of wires. evaluate ignition and fuel system visually as you check those things.
A 4.3 that's running on 3 cylinders will rev up nicely in neutral...that means nothing"

got the fix today, took the boat out and rechecked the plug wire order, it was wrong,
swapt it up and fast it went."
