My phone cannot seem to upload photos but I noticed the 454 I purchased has a different flywheel and possibly bellhousing and starter orientation than I'm going to be able to use can you just swap that out so the starter isn't sticking out the rear and so it'll couple with a bravo one?

sounds like a bobtail for an inboard if the starter enters the rear of the housing. You will need a standard engine mounted starter, and a different flywheel. If the flywheel can accept both starter types ,simply knock off the ring gear and install it on the opposite side of the flywheel. If not you will need a flywheel to accept a engine mounted starter

This would be a Flywheel Cover (bellhousing in the automotive world) and the AFT mounted starter motor would be for the I/B version.

The cylinder block will be machined and threaded for the lower mount starter motor.

As for the ring gear...... if it does need to be re-positioned, DO NOT drive it off while cold.
Instead, place the flywheel on a turn-table and use heat on the ring gear as you rotate the flywheel (DO NOT heat it red hot).
This will expand the ring gear and will allow for removal and/or re-positioning.
With a few mild taps it will move.
