By design, the engine determines the over-all gear reduction.
Between the 1.41:1 and the 1.50:1, there is little difference.... but none-the-less, there is a difference.
Typically, there is no substitute for a correct ratio. If can become difficult to prop ourselves out of an incorrect ratio.
However, if going to a numerically higher ratio (lower in terms of reduction) we typically do this when reducing horse power/torque.
IOW, the 5.7L engine would typically require the taller ratio (1.41:1)..... and the 5.0L engine would require the lower ratio (1.50:1).
The hull size can also influence this.
If you have already purchased this drive, about all you can do is give it a try.
Experiment with props, making your target the OEM spec'd WOT RPM.
