Gasoline Ethanol vs Rubber Hose Question

"I have twin Yamaha 9.9 high thrust, 4-stroke motors, vintage 2003. Am running Marine (Ethanol)Stabil and Seafoam as gas additive. Both engines have aluminum tanks, copper tubing to large fuel-water separator combo filters, then black rubber gasoline service hoses to the squeeze pump them motor. However, I have to clean both carbs about 3-4 months, to keep them running right. Am getting really good at it, but it’s not fun having to do it at a cruise destination. Anyway, I was wondering whether anyone had problems with the black rubber fuel hoses using gasoline with ethanol. Again, these are circa 2002-03 hoses. There is some sediment of some type in the carbs when I clean them, and some suspended in the gas that I pumped through to a Gatorade bottle. Figure that the fuel water separator filter would catch stuff upstream of the filter. But am still having problems. Thoughts?

"as cheap as it is why not just replace the hoses to see if it corrects it. i have ran into some hose problems relating to ethanol on larger boats, and this may be your problem too."
