Is Permatex Aviation Sealant an equivalent to Marprox Sealer 1000 or OMC Adhesive or Boat Armor Sealer 100?

No, not the same. Can it be used? Depends on your standards.

Are you sealing a metal to metal joint or is there a gasket? It would make a big difference on which sealer you want to use.

That's right, brother. A different sealer for each application....you probably know that I'm sure. Permatex aviation sealant.....if I was only allowed one sealant to use in my shop???? Yes. Why? It's a long story, but it's pretty versatile as well as fuel resistant.

I'm a long time user of av sealant but I like Permatex anaerobic gasket maker for metal to metal stuff. And copper coat and rtv and ... Is it only mechanics that always seem to migrate to the glue and sealer isle every time they go to Lowe's or a hardware store? It's like a disease.
