1980 70hp Johnson. I will change all the water jacket gaskets and the head gasket. I see different brands of gaskets on line but I like to use gaskets that have the sticky film on them as I feel they seal better without the need of additional sealer. Which one is best? Should I stick with OMC or is there a better gasket out there? The sealing surfaces are pretty good but not perfect. I always am faced with the question of if to use additional sealant or not. I know not on the head gasket and question it on anything exposed to heat like the certain areas of the exhaust gaskets.
