Gas tank systems

Hi Have a 1965 40 horse RKL 27 seahorse that uses a single hose with a pump ball
from the gas tank to the fuel pump. I just picked up a really nice 1955 25hp 25920.
My problem or in this case ignorance is the fuel tank system on this motor. I'm guessing it's a
pressure tank with no fuel pump. Can someone fill me in one the two different systems and do I
need to buy a different tank for the 25 hp engine and if so where.

Your 40hp has a fuel pump.

The 25hp pumps air to the tank to pressurize it, then the air pressure forces the fuel to the engine. This engine requires a two line pressure tank unless you can convert it to a fuel pump system. That knowledge will need to come from elsewhere.
