I have a nice new Aluminum tan

I have a nice new Aluminum tank to replace the fiberglass one that was eaten by ethanol/gasoline (see earlier posts). The new tank has a bonding tab on top and I think I need to bond the tank to the filler cap flange to prevent static electricity when filling. Do I also need to run a wire back to negative on the battery? I am not using a fuel gauge.
Head came back from the machine shop today. I should have everything back together and running this weekend. It is an interesting experience doing major work on a boat swinging on a mooring 100 yds offshore. Forgetting a tool or a part can sure slow you down. But the view is nice......

"yes to both. you don't have to bond direct to the battery, any ground to engine will do. probably be easier, and closer."
