Gas ratio question

"I have a 6 gallon fuel tank.

"I have a 6 gallon fuel tank. But right now I only have 4 gallons in it at 40:1, so I was wanting to make it 50:1. So how can I do that? I was just thinking about adding 2 more gallons of gas to it. Would this work?"

Fill it with 50:1 and forget the math. You and the engine will not know the difference.
