Gas leaking from carbrtor

Probably needs a new float and/or float valve. Order an OEM carburetor repair kit here at marineengine, which includes both parts, plus all the gaskets, etc.

All brand new already. It's like it's getting to much. But I took it all apart again and it all seems right. I only noticed it when I took the air collector off.

Then the float is probably not set correctly. Turn the carb over with the bowl removed. The float should be ever so slightly angled up on the end opposite the needle.

You have to be specific ! ----Is this leakage with the choke closed and you pulling the cord ?-------If that is the case it is normal.

Does the engine start and run good? Are you running the dual fuel line tank? Might be worth it to pull the intake manifold and inspect the reeds it could be spitting fuel back out the carb from a dirty leaf plate not sealing properly?

Yeah it starts runs a little rough need to fine tune it on the water till. But it smokes like a chimney and foul comes from the intake

Do the cylinder drop test and see if it runs the same on each cylinder. While ideling pull a plug wire and then put it back on the engine should respond the same on each cylinder.

Another thing you can do is give it a good decarb. Get a can of seafoam spray and on the water bring the engine up to operating temp then at high idle speed around 1500 rpmspray seafoam in the carb little squirts at a time until it starts smoking real good and quickly shut it down for 1/2 an hour and fish for a bit. Then start it up and run it full throttle until the smoke clears out while adjusting the high speed jet for the best performance then go back and adjust the slow needle. When adjusting the needles slowly turn them in 1/4 turn at a time and wait ten seconds for the crankcase to stabilize. Just remove the air silencer for now until you do the decarb. The high speed adjustment will be obvious but the slow speed you adjust it in until the engine stumbles and slowly back out until you get a nice smooth idle. Then quickly go to full throttle. If it hesitates add 1/8 turn rich and do it again until you get a nice clean hole shot then just leave them alone. Snug down the packing nuts so the needle do not move very easy and then install the air silencer.
