Gamefisher 7.5 issue

So I have an older 7.5 hp, 2 stroke Gamefisher, I believe it's a late 80's model. Having trouble getting it started, sometimes it starts, sometimes it takes 100 cranks, and sometimes you can never get it to start. When I do rarely get it started it usually runs just fine with the throttle wide open. I pulled the plugs out and they were fairly clean, properly gapped at 35. I have had some luck spraying starter fluid into the spark plug wells. Any thoughts? I belieive its a fuel delivery problem because it has a good spark.

So I may or may not be about 9 years too late, but for anyone else with a similar issue, I've seen that the carburetors on these motors tend to clog up. Disassembling the carb and cleaning out the jets and everything might solve it, especially if the spark is good. It defenitley seems like a fuel delivery problem
