Hello all, I recently bought this old gale 35 I don’t know anything about it. looking for any info on it. The vintage look on the side covers drew me into it. I tried to turn the propeller on the bottom and it does not turn. I am hoping the motor is not locked up but may be a good project to see if I can get it going. Are these two strokes ? again I know nothing about boat motors. Thanks all

There were very , very few, if any 4 strokes back in 1958 !!----Well maybe a Lauson 4 HP ( lawnmower engine ) outboard was a 4 stroke.

Thanks, is this universal or only for a specific boat. Should the propeller turn freely with it in natural? I’m thinking it is locked up cause it does not turn any suggestions

What do you mean by " universal " here?----Prop should turn freely in neutral.---Prop should turn freely for about a 1/4 turn in both forward and reverse.

It does not have a tiller to steer.----Therefor you must have ( or find ) a control for shift and throttle.--Also a steering hook-up.------And some cables for starting if it is electric start.---Not hard to find if you understand what you are looking for.----E-BAY is your friend here.
