"Hey guys, finally broke down

"Hey guys, finally broke down and let the boatyard take a look at the engine after months of trying and all in all they found water in the bowl of the carb and tank. They are going to do the rebuild of the carb and pump the tank as well as put all new fuel filters in. My question is.. I got a merc 2001 3.0 and it dont have a fuel water seperator as is. Is this something i should deff consider and if so any recommondations on a kit?? thanks guys"

"I would highly consider putting in a FW Separator kit, I would also think about if some of the water is getting in from the fuel filler ( just a possibility )"

Have the same engine as Mike and also wondered about putting a filter on our boat. Is there any specific place the above bracket should be mounted?

"Any place that is convenient, preferably above the fuel tank line, this way if your anti-syphon goes bad fuel wont just flow out of the tank."
