Have obtained a new fuel tank

Have obtained a new fuel tank and was told it had two seperate compartments one for fuel and one for oil.
Can some one tell me how it works ?. Also how to tell if it is working correctly.
Lastly is it true that if I run out of oil the fuel will shut off.

"Brian.... There was such a thing back before the VRO was introduced (pre 1984). It was an OMC product, however I've lost track of what it looked like or even what it was called. Bottom line.... I wouldn't use it.

The name "Economizer" comes to mind.

Brian...Joe is correct that tank was around for a short period of time and it was called an "accumix" i think. It was used on the smaller motors to avoid mixing gas and oil. As joe said don't use it cause if its not functioning correctly you will do serious damage to your motor
