Just did a carb cleaning and new gaskets. Put it back on motor and I have a leak from a screw-plug behind the high speed jet. Checked the threads and they look fine. Tightening does not stop the leak. Tried backing it out and it just leaks more...
Is there a thread sealer that I can use that will not be effected by gas?

"Caution!
I,ve got some Permatex red RTV and on the back it reads, Note: Not recommended for use on head gaskets or parts in contact with gasoline.
I believe item #31 is a brass pipe threaded plug that plugs the drilled passage into the float bowl. I use Permatex Thread Sealant. It is available in small inexpensive tubes and can be found at the auto parts stores."

"Thanks Allen,

I have some Permatex red, only need a small amount. Its not a very bad leak at all. Gonna have the take the carby back off to do the job. Just when I had everything all buttoned back up. Should have leak tested it before putting it back on, live and learn.
